Vera’s Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Vera is a 60-year-old nonprofit working to create antiracist justice systems and develop ideas, research, and analysis to fight mass incarceration. Vera partners with directly impacted people, grassroots organizations, and government officials at all levels to transform systems so they promote safety, strengthen our communities, and are fair for all.

As part of Vera’s efforts to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion, we are actively recruiting vendors and independent contractors committed to diversity and inclusion and seeking to work with partners that reflect the communities we serve. Vera’s policies prohibit discrimination based on race, sex, religion, national or ethnic origin, age, sexual orientation or identity, disability, and any other category protected by law. All our partners must deliver the highest quality products and services, provide competitive pricing, and be responsive and timely. Vera recognizes that promoting diversity and inclusion requires a sustained and enduring commitment, and we will remain diligent and focused in our efforts to respect and celebrate many voices, viewpoints, and experiences in our work and with our partners.
